Lakefront Scandinavian Cottage house plan with 3 to 4 bedrooms
Developed with "green thinking" similar to model 3950 to create a budget friendly alternative. This plan provides a well designed floor plan with an abundance of windows in back whose facade can be given a south orientation to enhance passive energy from the sun. Eco-friendly choice of materials includes a steel roof for enhanced longevity and superior performance.

Living space is maximized throughout the two story plan and ecological enhancements include fireplaces on the two levels for substantial savings on heating costs. The main foyer in front can be completely closed off from the living area to keep the outside temperatures, either too hot or too cold, from entering.

The main level has an open floor plan with 10' ceilings throughout and a master suite, a full bathroom and well appointed kitchen with an island. Two additional bedrooms in the basement along with a shower room and a separate laundry/mechanical area and a second living room help to maximize the interior space for enhanced enjoyment!

Questions or Comments on this plan
  1. James E. Watts 23 January 2015

I was going to purchase this plan on Jan 1, 2015 and placed it in my cart when you had 35% off plans. Now it's gone and no discount, what gives?

    • Customer service 23 January 2015

Good day Mr. Watts and thank you for your interest in this plan.

The boxing week discount of 35% off the regular price was valid from December 26th 2014 to January 4th 2015 inclusively and is no longer available. Since it is now January 23rd 2015 this is probably why the order at the discounted, 2014 price is no longer in your cart.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  2. Dave 25 October 2011

Are these floorplans correct? The main floor does not show a chimney or flue for the lower floor fireplace.

    • Customer service 25 October 2011

      Hello Dave!
There is one flue in the chimney in the basement for the fireplace of the playroom. The flue will run through the closet in a bulkhead or between floor joists. On the main floor we can see two flues, one is coming from the basement and the second one is for the fireplace of the dining/ living room.
Hope this helps you! Get back to us if you need more information!
