Increase the volume of the roof. Add a turret to the living room. Make the garage door appear centered. Improve the exterior look in a consistent way with the rest of the neighbourhood by the use of fine construction materials.
Add on two floors to provide a new living room on the ground floor and a bigger master suite upstairs. Remodel the ground floor with open areas. Rearrange a part of the upstairs to provide more storage and a den. Improve the exterior by adding a gallery and a screened shelter.
Increase the size of the house to obtain a new kitchen, a dining room and a large living room. We also took advantage to enlarge the master bedroom and the bathroom.
Tear down the existing sloping roof and replace with an adequately windowed extension with an adjacent terrace. Preserve the country aspect of the entire house.

Enlarge the two bedrooms as well as the closets. This enlargement will give more space to the foyer and to the stairs. Enlarge the dining room and add enough windows for a better view to the garden.

Expand the master bedroom and especially the bathroom on the second floor. Renovate the kitchen, add a laundry area and a boudoir in the entrance hall if possible. Remodel the exterior.
Expand the house significantly in order to provide more bedrooms for the needs of this large family. The main entrance must be relocated and more functional. Eliminate the log cabin look outside but not inside and aim for a "victorian" look overall.
Add a two-car garage and suggest a new exterior appearance (from a picture of new houses in the Drummond Designs collection) that would eliminate the lenghty effect of the facade. Raise the roof and replace the exterior sheathing, if need be.
Since the family is growing, living space becomes a serious issue. Four bedrooms, a master suite included and a comfortable bathroom are required. A second story is the answer. Take the opportunity to remodel the exterior of the house.
