Change the car-port into a garage, provide certain amenities in a contiguous room (shower, toilet, washbasin). Add a foyer in place of the existing porch and refurbish into a welcoming entrance. Convert the new facade in a more contemporary and warmer style.
Add a garage at the basement level. Above this basement add a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a living room. Renovate the bathroom. The investment being already substantial, preserve the style of the house.
Add a two-car garage with a studio above linked to the house. Build a solarium at the rear side of the house for later use as a den or breakfast area.
